One on One Pilates Training

I'm a student just like you are. After selling my studio in Charleston, I was at a loss for where to go in our new San Diego community. I quickly began scouring the internet for local Pilates studios. Rather than getting sidetracked by the enticing gallery photos, I always go straight to the instructor bio pages. Unfortunately, the health and wellness industry isn't regulated, so you never know if you are truly getting the guru upon guru's or if someone observed a 2 hour seminar and happens to have clever marketing.

So how do you find an outstanding instructor? After being in the industry for the past 10 years, I can point you in the right direction.

If you can find someone who was directly trained by Joseph Pilates' protege, Romana Kryzanowska or Jay Grimes, drop everything you're doing and go to them. I'm serious; it's a whole other level of teaching. Second to that, I would not hire an instructor that had any less than 600 training hours and attends Classical Continuing Education on a regular basis.

I've had a lot of people approach me about opening another studio on the West Coast, but I'm at that point in life of trying to do the whole kid thing, so a mondo studio is not in the near future. Studio owners you know what I'm talking about.

However, I would be lost if I couldn't instruct. Corny or not, it's what I live for. Iā€™m beyond grateful to Studio Flo Pilates in San Diego for letting me call their studio home.

You will get quality one on one instruction on Gratz apparatus.
